Conference Information
SAfJR is an event that is aimed at career-young statisticians with an interest in survival analysis and related research areas. The conference offers an excellent opportunity for young researchers to present and discuss their work.
The conference will start on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 in the morning and end on Friday, March 21, 2025, at 1pm.
On Wednesday morning, the conference opens with contributed talks, including a presentation by Morten Overgaard (Aarhus, Denmark) on regression analysis using jack-knife pseudo-observations. In the afternoon, participants will visit the AI exhibition at the Deutsches Museum. The day concludes with a poster session in the evening.
On Thursday, contributed talks continue, featuring Nan van Geloven (Leiden, The Netherlands), who will share insights on causal prediction of time-to-event outcomes. The evening will be highlighted by the conference dinner.
On Friday, Dennis Dobler (Dortmund, Germany) will present on resampling methods in survival and event history analysis. The conference will conclude with an award ceremony recognizing the best talk and poster.
Topics for contributed talks and posters:
- Bayesian survival models
- Causality
- Dynamic prediction models
- Epidemiology
- High-dimensional survival analysis / machine learning
- Meta-analysis
- Multistate models
- Non-standard censoring
- Parametric regression models
- Pharmaceutical statistics and clinical trials
- Pseudo-observations
